"El Farolito Taqueria: Authentic Mexican Flavors in South San Francisco"

It’s not elegant dining, but it’s very well worth the visit. My good friend and I visited last night for the first time. We were warmly greeted, order was made properly, and helpful guidance was offered. They say a picture is worth more than words so I’ll keep it simple…made it a bit messy, but so worth it! It was more than twice what I would normally have for dinner. They graciously and expertly rewrapped it in foil to keep it from drying out. I enjoyed the remainder tonight and was very satisfied yet again. Great job by all the staff at the front and grill side. Prices were very reasonable too! Some might argue it needs a facelift, but I think it’s got a lot of history and charm. One of the criteria for my friend and I was that it was open late after working an extra long day…they were open until 11 and had a near full house when we arrived at 9:30…a testament to its following and repeat business.

Fast service, cheap prices for big portions. Big fan of their Agua Fresca drinks. Your food is brought to your table. Open till around 9:30pm, we visited closer to closing time and the place was still filled with people, with a small line. Ordered the Enchilada plate for 12$, big portions of rice, beans and 2 Enchiladas filled with meat. Also ordered 3 tacos, 4$ each but worth the price with how much meat is put on them. Would go here again if nearby. Average prices here from 8-15$ For a 16oz Agua Fresca for 2.50$

I've been coming here to eat for about a year and it's always a beautiful experience. The service is excellent, all the people who work here are very friendly, attentive and make you feel welcome from the first moment. I especially want to highlight Mr. Horacio, who always attends with incredible kindness and warmth. He is very helpful and has details that make the difference, small gestures that show how much he cares that customers feel well taken care of. He really deserves everything good in the world, just like the whole team. It is definitely a place where I love to return, not only for the food, but for the human treatment and the great service.

I miss this place! Glad my co worker invited me here! Parking is scarce so prepare to look around so far safe area. We went evening time & the line very popular! Quick service & they accept all major credit/debit cards along with cash! Fast service & the portions huge! Affordable as well! Shrimp tacos & their Carne asada quesadillas omg feeds 2 to 3 people! They also have homemade drinks! Love the fact they have Mexican Coke Colas yasss! Definitely coming back to try their other menus! They close by 10pm.

This is the best burrito in the peninsula, hands down. This is what a burrito should taste like! I've been coming here for decades, and the consistency stays the same. It's always a great price at $9 super burritos! The service is always friendly and even if it's crowded you still don't wait long for your food! Also, the original El Farolito in SF invented the burrito.

Very delicious meal. Place is always full. Do not expect a fancy atmosphere.

Really enjoyed our family visit here. The food is awesome! Great-tasting and substantial portions for a great value. We fed four for under $30. The chili rellenos dinner is flavorful and stuffed with cheese. I had flautas con pollo and loved the crunch. The reason I give this place 4 stars rather than five is for the ambience. The place appears run-down and poorly cared for (3 stars), however, the hostess/cashier was very friendly and the food was delicious (5 stars), so I’m splitting the difference.

Solid spot for a super burrito. Chips and salsa are pretty good too. Went in the other night and felt like I had to leave a review because their service was great. Super friendly ppl!
